About The Event
Hello everyone!
We hope you join us for Widow Care's monthly peer support group, open to widows and widowers of all ages. We believe that it's so important to have a space where you can open up about your pain and find support from people who understand your grief.
While our social events have allowed us to create fun memories with each other, we rarely have time to sit down and speak about our experiences. Join us for a peer support group-- a facilitator will be present to ensure that group guidelines are met, but this is strictly peer-to-peer, so no counselors are present.
Here's our agenda:
-We will go over group guidelines to ensure safety and confidentiality
-We will start out with some icebreakers to let us get to know each other
-We will give the floor to everyone who wants to speak about whatever is on their mind-- resurfaced memories, grief, new relationships, whatever it may be.
-We will close out the session and offer print materials, including grief resources, other support groups, partner services, etc.
We will have refreshments including pastries, tea, and coffee, all provided for free by Wegmans! We hope that you'll make it!
When you arrive, please call Marissa at (301) 917-4741 to let you into the building. Please arrive before the scheduled start time, because we will be starting promptly at 6:30pm.
