About The Event
As the holiday festivities approach, our hearts often turn to those who are in challenging situations, such as those living in a homeless shelter. As a way of supporting our community, Widow Care is collecting much needed items requested by a local women’s shelter. Â
The Interfaith Works Women's Center is a 70-bed short-term emergency shelter serving approximately 300 women per year. Case managers work with clients towards a rapid exit housing plan from the shelter by referring them to housing programs, vocational programs, making medical referrals, mental health referrals, and connection to social services benefits. Â
